The City of Dublin V.E.C. is a statutory body which operates under the governance of a chairman and seventeen ordinary members. It caters for 11,000 full-time students and approximately 10,000 enrollments on part-time courses. It employs a staff of almost 4,000 people. The schools and colleges are supported by the committee`s psychological service and by its curriculum development unit (CDU). The services offered by the City of Dublin V.E.C. have a positive impact on people and communities. These services range from mainstream education, including junior and leaving certificates, to a broad spectrum of courses including post-leaving certificate (PLC) courses, community education and adult literacy programmes in the context of social inclusion and lifelong learning.
