Invent is Dublin City University's Innovation and Enterprise Centre whose primary goal is the commercialisation of research. Invent assists researchers in identifying the most appropriate business model for the commercialisation of Intellectual Property. This may involve licensing to commercial partners or the creation of spin-off companies. Invent specialises in adding value to the outcome of research at an early stage and fosters links between emerging technologies developed by university researchers and the financial and entrepreneurial resources of industry and business. In addition, Invent offers incubation space and a business support programme to high potential, technology based start up companies. Invent is particularly interested in making contact with businesses who may be interested in engaging with DCU research.
