The National College of Ireland Business Incubation centre was set up to assist high potential start-up companies in Finance, Education and Learning Technologies. The Business Incubation Centre is located within NCI`s campus in the heart of the International Financial Services Centre (IFSC). The Centre has been designed around the concept of building a `community of peers`, where businesses can benefit from shared knowledge, resources and equipment as well as the support of entrepreneurs, state agencies, academics and international networks. In recent years many successful companies have emerged from the centre, Barracuda FX won the emerging sector in the 2013 Entrepreneur of the Year award and previously won the All Ireland Intertrade Ireland Seedcorn competition, Mark Little’s Storyful hit the headlines after a $25 million dollar takeover by News Corp international. Brite: Bill moved from the centre having notched up a string of awards and more importantly have a number of Global contracts with household named companies. Currently the Centre has 20 start-up companies from 2 -25 person units employing 150 and works closely with NCI Cloud Competency Centre on Innovation vouchers projects for start-ups.
